Assistant Manager, Pattern Book Making and Sampling Department - Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Manager who will be responsible for organising and overseeing the production of pattern books, swatches, cushions, memos, cuttings and samples at our luxury, internationally renowned fabric and wallcovering design house.

You will be based at our stunning new headquarters in Sutton-in-Ashfield, which is our hub for innovation, creativity and excellence. This is an exciting time to join!

In this role you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the department (approx. 85 people) with support from supervisors and team leaders
  • Plan the load and capacity, and organise workflow
  • Monitor and report on operational performance
  • Seize opportunities to improve efficiency and resolve issues
  • Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Recruit, develop and support people to maximise their performance
  • Assist the Department Manager with the development of strategic plans and projects for the department

To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised with a meticulous attention to detail.

You will have excellent leadership skills with proven experience of successfully managing teams in a production environment. You will be able to effectively support and motivate teams to deliver excellent customer service and to meet tight deadlines.

It would be beneficial if you have relevant experience gained from working in Textiles or Printing, and knowledge / experience of lean methodologies / six sigma.

Colour Retoucher and Support Artworker - Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of our busy in-house Marketing and Graphic design team. Working to strict launch deadlines, the role will predominantly involve cleaning and colour correcting images to deliver quality digital colour matching to our many fabrics, wallcoverings and accessories. The successful candidate will also be required to support our in-house Graphics Team with artworking digital and printed marketing materials. An excellent eye for colour and detail and experience of colour retouching to a very high standard is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To clean up and colour correct product flatshots for our six, in-house fabric and wallcovering brands, working to strict launch deadlines
  • To deliver quality colour matching to our many fabrics and wallcoverings, utilising technical expertise to determine the best and most efficient retouching solution needed to achieve colour accurate, web published results
  • To support the Graphics Team to design and artwork marketing material, sales literature, digital presentations and layouts for e-marketing campaigns

Graphic Designer - Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Romo, an internationally renowned, luxury fabric and wallcovering design house, as part of our busy in-house Marketing and Graphic design team. This diverse role involves designing and creating artwork for both printed and digital marketing material for regular new product launches & international marketing campaigns. We are searching for a highly creative, experienced designer with a strong sense of style and keen eye for colour.

Working in collaboration with the wider marketing department and our in-house design studios, your role will be to consistently develop new visual ideas and maintain the unique identities of our 6 individual fabric and wallcovering brands, working on a wide variety of design tasks that include:

  • Working across a range of disciplines to create concepts, design solutions & layouts for both digital and printed promotional material including luxury product brochures, press releases, marketing collateral for shows & events, launch concepts, point of sale, digital presentations, slideshows & social media posts.
  • Creative design of luxury interior brochures through close collaboration with our in-house textile design studios, being responsible for the full design process from concept to recommending suitable paper stock to final layout and art working.
  • Producing regular digital design content including social media and email campaigns, videos and web banners etc
  • Creating and art working files for various print & digital projects, including typesetting information tables, producing artwork for visual merchandising items, stationery, pricelists and catalogues, providing print-ready files. Executing rigorous quality checks including spell checking & proofreading.
  • Collaborating with our Visual Merchandiser to ensure production of effective in-store branding e.g., signage, point of sale, window vinyl and other display elements required for internal showrooms and exhibitions
  • Creating concepts & designs for website refreshes including design of homepage, individual content pages or stand-alone sites, being mindful of responsive design.
  • Collaborating with the wider team of Graphic Designers to redesign logos / branding for special projects or brand refreshes
  • Creating and developing the design and layout of internal communication material including employee magazines, email communications, notices and posters

To be successful in this role we are seeking candidates who have relevant graphic design qualifications and proven industry experience. You will be highly motivated, proactive, and organised. You will have meticulous attention to detail with a strong sensitivity to colour and the ability to accept feedback and direction. You will be able to multitask, prioritising your own workload to respond to tight launch deadlines. You must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Met deze nieuwe functie ben je het aanspreekpunt voor alle product en collectie gerelateerde vragen voor het klantenbestand wat van binnenuit bediend wordt. Jij zet nieuwe collecties uit bij de juiste klanten, helpt waar nodig met hun projecten en andere vragen. Hierin weet jij als professional hoe je het gesprek aan moet gaan om samen met een klant te groeien maar durft ook het gesprek aan te gaan als groei uitblijft. Je voert je taken uit vanuit ons kantoor en showroom in Houten en werkt daardoor veel telefonisch en online. Jij bent aanspreekpunt in onze showroom voor eigen klanten maar ook als een andere adviseur niet aanwezig kan zijn.

Naast je sales taken ondersteun je onze binnendienst in de serviceverlening, orderverwerking en andere taken. We werken met een klein team en er liggen voldoende uitdagingen. Functie eisen;

  • Enkele jaren werkervaring in de interieurbranche
  • Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden, met zakelijk Engels, in woord en geschrift.
  • HBO werk en denkniveau
  • Dienstverlenende instelling en accuraat
  • Je weet van aanpakken en bent in staat snel te schakelen tussen verschillende werkzaamheden
  • Ervaring in sales is een must
  • Vaste werkdagen
  • Uitstekende kennis outlook, teams, office.
