Export Sales Administrator – The Romo Group, Nottinghamshire, UK

A vacancy is available within our Export Department, based in Nottinghamshire for the position of Export Sales Administrator.

The role is to provide full administrative and sales support to our overseas agents, distributors and customers. This involves dealing with a wide variety of customer enquiries, order processing, quotations, despatch, translation work and all aspects of customer service.

The essential requirement for this position is fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) plus one other language. (Knowledge of Russian would be a great advantage.)  If English is not mother tongue it must be near native. Previous experience in a Customer Service role would be ideal and whilst knowledge of export sales administration would be beneficial, it is not essential, as full training will be given.

The role requires a professional and customer focused attitude with the ability to effectively resolve customer queries using initiative. The Export Department is a fast moving environment requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Press & Marketing Intern - Chelsea Wharf, London SW10

Based in our London Chelsea Wharf Offices the Press and Marketing team are looking to recruit a paid intern for a 3 month period to assist them in providing effective press and marketing support to our UK and International business.

Main Duties

Assisting in the development of promotional gifts, packaging and print

Editing and maintaining content on our websites

Responding to marketing related requests and enquiries

Creating interesting and engaging content for social media platforms

Researching new Press and media opportunities and updating our database accordingly

Monitoring achieved press coverage and helping to compile thorough reports

Responding to journalist requests

General administrative duties to help with the smooth running of the marketing office


Skills and Experience

A bachelors degree in a related field

Great communication skills, with outstanding English language, written and oral

Experience using Adobe creative suite: Photoshop & In Design and Microsoft Office: Word & Excel

An appetite for design related media including magazines, blogs and social media

Strong organisational skills

Textile Designer - Nottinghamshire, UK

The Romo Group is a leading privately owned design house specialising in the supply of furnishing fabrics and wallcoverings to both the domestic and contract markets.
Due to an expansion of our brand portfolio we are looking to recruit an exceptionally talented and creative individual with an understanding of the high-end contract arena to work in a new studio under the direct supervision of the Romo Design Director. The role will involve creating and developing new collections specifically for the contract market from initial concepts through to launch.
Main responsibilities:-
• Undertaking research to determine market trends
• Creating original designs which are to be used over a variety of applications within the interiors contract market.
• Liaising with suppliers to comment on trials and developments throughout the design and development process.
• Organising testing of products to all relevant standards.
• Involvement in pattern book design and development of marketing materials.
• Travelling internationally to trade exhibitions and to suppliers.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Textile Design, strong drawing and CAD skills, an excellent sense of colour and have a good understanding of printing/weaving techniques and repeats. They must also possess strong communication skills and have the ability to work to deadlines.

Experienced Web Developer required to join our enthusiastic in-house I.T. team. - Nottinghamshire, UK

Established since 1902, Romo is a progressive and mature company, distributing home furnishing fabrics worldwide. Many aspects of the business rely on our Linux based systems, developed and supported in-house.

A motivated, flexible and team-orientated web developer is required to expand the small team responsible for the development and support of all I.T. related functions. Candidates will have a strong knowledge of Object-Oriented PHP, CSS & Javascript. Experience with the Yii PHP framework would be advantageous.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive and possess good communication and time-management skills.
